• Poolside/Family Social Activities
• Knitting
• Women’s Spring Social
• The Annual Meeting & Luncheon
• Women’s Mahjong

• The Holiday Luncheon
There are many ways to get involved with the club even if you don’t golf. A Mentors Group is being instituted that will give new members an opportunity to meet and build a friendship with a member of the WOC. If you have an interest in learning more about our club programs, we would be happy to introduce you to a WOC member. This is a great first step in getting to know the wonderful women of Columbia Edgewater and the many fun social and golf events that are planned and organized for women and your family.
The best way to get involved in golf at Columia Edgewater is to join one of the groups of women who play together during the primary golf season from mid-March to mid-October. There are also opportunities to play organized women’s golf during the winter season as the golf course is playable year round. All women are welcome to play golf with any of the groups. To be involved in the competitions and/or play for prizes, you will be asked to join a “Trophy Fund.”
18-Holers: Sign-up to play a full 18-hole round on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Special games with payouts, tournaments, guest days, and mixers are offered in addition to regular stroke play.
9-Holers: Weekly 9-hole rounds are on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Activities are similar to the 18-holers with tournaments, member-guest events, and exchanges with 9-hole groups from other local private clubs for golf and lunch.
Sundowners: Designed for women who work during the day, this group of fun-loving ladies plays 9-holes on Thursday evening beginning at 5:15 pm. Weekly play is followed by a social dinner gathering. Organized play includes monthly game nights with prizes and one tournament during the season.
In 1997, the first Women’s Cancer Golf Fun(d)raiser Tournament was held at Columbia Edgewater and the annual tournament continues today. The tournament is dedicated to raising money for cancer research. Since 1997, $1.1 million (and growing) has been raised and donated to Providence Cancer Center – Columbia Edgewater is their largest private group donor!
